Valentine's Celebration

Hubby came home from a 12 day trip to Michigan for work on Friday afternoon. I decided to celebrate Valentine's with him over the weekend since he worked on the actual holiday. I surprised him with a decorated bedroom full of balloons.. I got the balloon idea from Pinterest. There was a blog that showed an example of balloons for their anniversary. I decided to use this for Valentine's Day since our Anniversary was just back in November.

I found heart shaped latex balloons at Walmart for 97 cents a pack. I had 15 of them blown up since we've celebrated 15 Valentine's Days together. Tied to each balloon was something I loved about him. I made it off cardstock, distressed the edges and put a heart sticker on each sentiment then rolled it up and tucked it on each string.

I then purchased fake rose petals also at Walmart for under $2.00 a package. I used two total. I spread them out on the bed, floor and leading to the bathroom and all along our garden tub. I also added Hershey's kisses around the tub as well.. I think that's all I will share about that on here.. don't want to give all away about our romantic weekend on my blog. wink wink...

On Valentine's Day I surprised my boys with Valentine Words of Affirmation. You can learn about them HERE where I posted about it earlier.

I also gave them each a conversation heart mini cake with a personal sentiment on it I made the previous day..

My honey picked me out some beautiful carnations. Burgundy and Creme colored matching our wedding colors. Here below is some of them. The other bunch is in my bathroom on the ledging of my garden tub..

We don't typically celebrate this holiday. Hubby calls it the Hallmark holiday. With hubby gone for two weeks and him coming home right before I felt it perfect to celebrate. I wanted the boys involved so this is what I did to celebrate this with the family. I really enjoyed putting it together and making this day special for each and everyone of them!
