Valentine's w/ Words of Affirmation

Over on Pinterest I came across a great idea to put hearts out for your child. They had it tied with string/yarn and hung around a bed. You can see their idea over at How Does She. What I did since I don't have a bed like they showed is I purchased heart doilies at Walmart for a little more than a dollar. Then took black marker and wrote words of affirmation on each doily. A total of ten for each of my boys. I then took red sparkly curly ribbon and used double sided tape to stick them onto a long section of it. I then took about 7 inches of curly ribbon for each heart and curled it then taped it to the bottom of each heart. I then hung them in front of their doors the night before Valentine's Day so they would open the door that morning and it was the first thing they saw..

My boys absolutely loved this. On one of the hearts I wrote 'I love you to the moon and back' to my youngest and he loved that so much he keeps telling me all day yesterday and today.. He then changed it up and told me he loved me to Pluto and back.. Something simple I did for them but the impact is much greater than a box of chocolates...
