Half Way Point
Yep, I am officially at the half way point to my ultimate weight loss goal.. I have lost 27 lbs and now have 27 lbs to go.. That sounds like a lot doesn't it. I started at 174 lbs. That's correct. A size 14. I have slowly shed some weight and now I am at 147 lbs. I am very happy at the weight I am now. I am a comfortable size 10 and they are starting to get loose so a size 8 is just around the corner.. Oh ya! But this is NOT where I want to be.
I keep telling myself that I am older now, there is no way I can get down to what I was in high school.. Well, why can't I? What is truly stopping me from weighing 12o? My mind!! That's what! I know that muscle weighs more than fat so I am noticing now that I've lost the weight I have that I look thinner than I did back in 2004 when I weighed 147. Because back then I was only walking away my weight. Today, I am running, working out, weight lifting, plus I am eating better. No fast food, caffeine, soda or processed food! (Took away soda/fast food back in 2005, caffeine & processed food back in Nov 2010) So there is muscle now. So let's just say that I want to get down to 130 and re-evaluate my goals but ultimately I would really LOVE to see 120!
One pound, one day at a time. I don't want to be skinny. I want to be fit. There is a huge difference to me. There is a LOT of skinny woman out there that are NOT fit.. I don't want to be one of them. I want to be able to run a half marathon by the end of the year and a full marathon in 2013. I've gotten myself up to 6.4 miles so far.. My first 10K last week. This is from a person that hated running and decided to give it a try because I was walking so fast that running was easier back in December 2010. Now I can't see my life without running in it! Isn't that amazing!!
I am now tracking my food online. I was putting it down in a spiral bound notebook since September 2011 and about three weeks ago I found myfitnesspal.com and now use that. It's free, I am able to type in what I ate and it's always on the list. Only a couple so far have I needed to type it in. It also keeps track of my water intake, and my exercise each day. You put in your weight, and age plus your weightloss goal and it will tell you how much to eat each day. It's awesome!
Well that is my weightloss, fitness update since I haven't posted about it in awhile..
Keep up the good work. I am thrilled for you every time you see progress for your hard work. :)
