4 Weeks to Gut Health
My life has been nothing but journey after journey this past year. Trying to find a sense of balance has been tough. I decided back in May of 2021 to return to full time work as the Co-Manager of Hobby Lobby. I knew this was a good move but it was definitely an adjustment period. Owning my own business for the past three years has been a joy in itself but the inconsistency of work and always being "On Call" put a toll on me, so returning to full time consistent hours and a consistent salary pay has really helping us reach our financial goals and settle my schedule down a lot. I do still have my business but work at a part time level..
I have embarked on a new "Journey" that I started four weeks ago. With returning to work full time, it has really challenged me to eat right and to exercise regularly. Something that was not an issue previously for the most part. I had gained nineteen pounds these past couple years and this girl was not happy with that..
I have been doing research on gut health playing a huge factor on health and healthy weight and found a 4 week gut program from Beach Body on Demand. I have used their programs in the past and have enjoyed them so I decided to give my 100% commitment to see this through.
What does this Entail?
Eliminating trigger foods to find out what may be causing GI distress and cause weight gain
Reintroduce 30 min low impact/ weight lifting workouts 4 days a week (one day a week of running)
PORTION CONTROL- training myself how much to eat and what foods are best to eat.
I have been intermittent fasting for the past month to help give my body rest from digesting food and to help with eating too late right before bedtime. ( This starting point to my health has really impacted me in a positive way)
I just finished the four week gut protocol on Sunday. I lost 6.4lbs and over 5.5 inches. This has been a game changer for me and a stepping stone to my future health and fitness. Stay tuned for more info on what's to come...
