Meal Prepping for a Busy Life

When I started the 4 Week Gut Protocol, I knew that I needed to change the way I was prepping my meals. With a busy daily schedule, meal prepping was a must. In the past I had great intentions of coming home and making a good meal. Life said otherwise.

I purchased my containers at Walmart in a big pack. Includes three different sizes. Snack, two compartment, and one big compartment. With meal prepping I have taken the worry out of day to day eating.

I am in love with the Fixate recipes with Beach Body. Alongside my meal prepping, I use the container cooking method. Making sure I get all areas of nutrition in my daily intake. (I will do a separate post on this).

The recipes show me exactly which containers I am using for each meal so it takes the guess work out of determining how many greens, fats and carbs I am eating each day.

I make alternating meals so we don't get bored through the week eating the same thing everyday. It comes down to two breakfast choices, two lunch choices and two dinner choices, alternating every other day. For my snacks I include two choices per day. One is usually a fruit and the other a gut friendly snack...

Hubby and I are doing this together and it has helped us both out. We both work full time alternating our shifts (mine mostly morning/day and his night shift) so it's hard for us to make meals daily.

So far this has been a game changer for us and look forward to posting more great tools for meal prepping in the future.
