My 3 goals I've been working on are below for February. I know I'm a bit late getting this posted. Haven't really been online much while hubby was away in Michigan for work.
1. Crafting- I wanted to make cards once a week and so far I've made three. Valentine's card for the hubby and a couple birthday cards for my stash. I was hoping to get more completed but with hubby gone for 12 days I really didn't have much down time. Didn't get a chance AT ALL to make my sample Christmas card..
I did get a chance to do a lot of crafty things this past week preparing for Valentine's Day. I plan to post on it here soon..
2. Food- This one has been awful. I think the fact I posted it on here made me more aware and in turn made me think more about eating sweets.. Horrible. I will say that I ate something sweet each day.. So failed pretty bad but hope to just take one day at a time. It's not like I'm porking out on a ton of junk food.. I just would like to get back to having it as a treat and not a meal course..
3. Quality Time- This one has been so much fun! My goal was to spend more quality time with my boys. While dad was away in Michigan for work I took the boys out for a fun Boys Day Out. We went to the track and ran 2 miles together, then went to the park to play, then played baseball and catch, took them out to dinner, and they had a special drink at Starbuck's. They are still talking about it.. I had a blast and it really helped me grow in our relationship.
I took this pic of all three of us while we were at the park during our day out!
I also set a goal to spend quality time with them individually. I have been reading to my youngest each night. We are currently working on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. My oldest has been a bit more of a challenge. He's the kind of child that needs everything perfect, his way and that's hard to accomplish sometimes. I'm still praying and working through this hurdle and hopefully find something we can do together that he will enjoy..
Looking forward to see how this week goes with my challenges..
Overall sounds like a good week. with the cards, sometimes life just gets in the way so to speak. I smiled with your sugar "downfall", I made almond cookies, and yesterday I found I had one in my mouth without thinking about it. Like the picture of you and the boys!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a productive week in lieu of the challenges of being a "single" parent! I love that you took your boys out and have been intentional about quality time with each of them!!
