An April Bride
A Year of Weddings Novella
By Lenora Worth
Book Description
War changes everything . . . even their love.
Bride-to-be Stella Carson can't wait to marry her longtime sweetheart
Marshall Henderson. But Marshall has been away serving his country and
has suffered a head wound. After being diagnosed with post-traumatic
stress disorder, he has distanced himself from Stella, asking her not to
visit him in a Washington, D.C., hospital. Marshall returns to
Louisiana just four weeks before the wedding, but as the big day draws
near, Stella wonders if the man she's loved for most of her life has
become someone else.
Can true love conquer all for Stella and Marshall, even the tragedy of war?
My Thoughts on This Book:
A wedding is such a beautiful time in a couples life. Planning and preparing for their lives together. Add in a little stress of your soon to be husband overseas in the Army, Stella engrosses herself in wedding planning while Marshall is away for 10 months. When she finds out her fiance' is injured her plans turn upside down.
After finding out he can't remember her he still feels like the wedding must go on. Can Stella hold on to hope that her fiance' will remember her in time for their big day?
I've come to love this wonderful bridal series. I've read December through April so far and each one tells a beautiful story surrounding weddings. This one pulled at my heartstrings as I read how Stella struggled with the wedding planning, the feeling of loss since her fiance' doesn't remember and the choices she needs to make even though her whole life has been with Marshall. Great read!
I received an ebook copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. No other compensation was given.
