Bible Recap 2026 Study Prep

I am excited about prepping for my bible study for 2026. Even more excited that my husband will be joining me on this one year journey, reading the bible chronologically.

I read the bible chronologically a couple years ago and loved it! I loved how the stories came to life and was easy for me to understand the timeline. When you read the bible book by book, it's not set up by dates, but by style of book (history, letters etc.) so they jump back and forth. I got confused a lot when reading it this way in the past.

I came across Bible Recap and the resources offered a deeper dive into scripture than just a 12 minute reading plan each day. I decided to grab all the resources and work on implementing them into my daily schedule.

First Resource is the Bible Recap BIBLE.

I was bouncing back and forth trying to decide if I wanted to use my own bible or commit to purchasing this bible. At the end of the day, I felt this way would be easiest, it has large margins on the sides for notetaking and highlighting and it already incorporates the Bible Recap One Year Guide, which includes the "Today's God Shot" and "Recap".

The next resource I am adding to my study is the Bible Recap Journal

I didn't think I would be wanting to add this because it's pretty simple BUT I wanted to add it because it gives me the opportunity to journal, write down my thoughts instead of locating another styled journal. This helps guide my thoughts each day on what I read.

The meat of the study is set up within the Study Guide below. This here is why I chose to read the bible chronologically using this method because this year I wanted to spend more time dissecting, understanding and digging deeper into what I am reading each day. With these daily questions, I know this will take place.

Finally, I decided to add the Discussion Guide so my husband and I can gather together once a week and discuss what we've read. It's more important than ever for my husband and I to come together and learn the Word, apply the Word and build our lives around God's plan.

This discussion guide is meant to read the questions and answer aloud as an opportunity to learn from each other, gain knowledge in different ways and to feel connection with my husband.

I am so excited that my husband is joining me this year. He has never read the bible cover to cover before. We won't be reading it page by page but when 2026 is completed, we will have read it in its entirety chronologically! I am so excited!

Are you planning a study of the bible in 2026? I would love to hear your plans!!
