Labyrinth of Lies

About This Book

When the daughter of a high-profile businessman disappears from an exclusive girls' boarding school, police detective Cate Reilly is tapped for an undercover assignment. It doesn't take her long to realize that beneath the veneer of polish and wealth, things are not as they seem at Ivy Hill Academy. But the biggest surprise of all? The only man she ever loved is also working at the school.

Zeke Sloan has never forgotten Cate, but now isn't the best time for their paths to cross again. When their two seemingly disparate agendas begin to intertwine--and startling connections emerge among the players--the danger escalates significantly. But who is the mastermind behind the elaborate ruse? And how far will they go to protect their house of cards?

 My Thoughts on This Book

I was not disappointed with Book 2 of the Triple Threat series.. Labyrinth of Lies. I absolutely loved the first one and couldn't wait to read this. This one leaves us where the first one left off (don't let that detour you if you choose to read this one first. You can easily pick up hints from the previous novel as you read along)

This series follows each of the three sisters, Book Two is all about Cate. She is not ready for another undercover assignment as a county detective, but was told she was the perfect fit. A perfect fit as a 33 yr old woman to play a teenager doesn't make much sense to Cate but she jumps right in so she can help solve a case of a missing student and her boyfriend. She wasn't prepared who she would see when she arrived at the boarding school. Zeke, her past love, ends up on a case as an undercover Spanish teacher, that brings them to the same location and in the end working as a team to take down the bad guys. You not only get suspense but also a romance intertwined. Set in several different viewpoints. This way of reading allows you to get into the characters and see things through their eyes. This is what makes Irene Hannon's books a must read...
