Bible in 90 Days Days 1-7 in Review

Finished up the first week of Bible in 90 Days.. WOW!

How did your reading go?
Did you give yourself time each day to read, get behind?

No worries... there is always a way to catch up without skipping anything.. Just add 10-15 minutes here and there throughout the days and depending how far behind you are will determine how many increments you will need to get caught up.

Don't let getting behind discourage you. I fell behind one day and was able to chisel time out throughout the following day to make up the pages and to also read that days reading. It's doable so don't give up!

Haven't started reading yet? No problem... You can start right now by going to the GETTING STARTED Link below...

GETTING STARTED

It's never too late to start reading.. Today could be your day...

--------------------------------------------------------

This week's reading was in the Books of Genesis and Exodus.

We got to read about the hand of God designing the World and everything in it. We got to read about the Fall of man and how sin entered the World. How Noah showed favor in the eyes of God and asked him to build an Ark to save his family during the time of the big flood where God destroyed everything but then showed us His promise through the beautiful rainbow in the sky.

The Fall of Sodom and Gomorrah and how Abraham pleaded to God to save those within the city walls if they were not sinning. We got to read about the life of Abraham and his children Jacob and Esau. How the two spend their young lives fighting over birthright and their fathers blessings to find themselves back together again in a powerful reunion. The journey of Jacob and his father in law. How he loved Rachel and needed to marry Leah, Rachel's sister first in order to marry Rachel while working on the land for his father in law.

How God gives Jacob a new name.. The name of Israel. Genesis 35:10-12 "God appeared to him again and blessed him, God said to him, "Your name is Jacob, but you will no longer be called Jacob; your name will be Israel. So he named him Israel." And God said to him, "I am God Almighty, be fruitful and increase in number. A nation and a community of nations will come from you, and kings will be among your descendants. The land I gave to Abraham and Isaac I also give to you, and I will give this land to your descendants after you.".

We continue in the book of Genesis learning about Joseph. His dreams and his brother selling him into slavery. We get to see the hand of God on Joseph throughout his life and how he saves thousands of people through the long famine including Joseph's family that he gets to reunite with before his father dies.

Exodus brings us to the life of Moses.. From him being taken from his birth family down a river and given to the Egyptian's, we get to read the story of his life saving his people from the Egyptian's and leading them in the desert to the promise land. The plagues that God gives to the Egyptian's while Pharaoh's heart is hardened until he finally sets them free but to find they may be running away, he has them chased to then see Moses by God's hand part the sea to save the Israelites from the Egyptian's.

God gives us the 10 Commandments and writes them on stone with his powerful finger. Exodus 31:18 "When the Lord finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two tablets of the covenant law, the tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God."

He explains the building of the Tabernacle where God will reside so He may be with His people. Appointing Aaron as priest along with his son's. Exodus ends with the completion of the Tabernacle by the specific directions from God.
